If walls could speak, this unique home would have many words to say.

Looking back we have found some interesting things to share.

The History

Journey

One evening we stumbled across this magnificent property, recognizing the enormous unlocked potential.

A rarity amongst the norm, we couldn’t wait to restore to it’s former glory. Our renovation took 4 months to complete, supporting the local community by using local trades and suppliers.

Living Room

Immediately the eye is drawn to the floor to ceiling steel windows which are believed to date back to 1864. These were painstakingly sanded and painted to unlock a new lease of life. The walls have been finished in Farrow & Ball School House white, which looks sublime in every light. Shaded white was used to compliment the neutral tones on all the woodwork. Careful sanding to the timber beams which once painted to created an airy soft space.

Mezzanine

This was the last space we knew what to do with. It was only when we had the idea for a chandelier we had a brain wave. What better way to stare at the 90 crystals than in your very own luxurious roll top bath. Interestingly, the bath had a previous life on a set of a TV Drama. Not wishing to waste, it’s not being used as it was first intended.

Bedroom

There is something magical being in the loft of this unique home. The unsual circular window encourges you to peer across the hamlet. With a tilt open, birds can be heard fluttering from the hedge rows.

To lift and lighten, the room was decorated in Farrow & Ball School House White. Complete with a king size bed, you might not want to leave.
